“For the mind disturbed, the still beauty of dawn is nature's finest balm” ;-)

After all that heavy duty posts...I thought of chilling for a moment..and guess what..my focus and determination was on this...picture!!!

“The paradox of reality is that no image is as compelling as the one which exists only in the mind's eye.” ~ Shana Alexander

Its been long that I am trying to click this pic...and I wanted to surprise some of my Indian friends with this pic..!
Last time I had seen Manish's pic standing in this field...and when I saw this over here in Cal, 'sarson ka saag' (Mustard) field....pranks started playing in my mind...that reminds a funny quote that I read the other day :D

"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they are okay, then it's you."- Rita Mae Brown

...and I said I have to get this no matter what!! :)! The other day I saw KL with her summer post and I thought she might bring this...but nah!!! ...so here friends for you all...Mustard (sarson ka saag) field...right in the heart of silicon valley in California :D...boooh only thing is..its weed!!!!... lol

“Nature has perfections, in order to show that she is the image of God; and defects, to show that she is only his image.”
But its very difficult to get the pic as its a busy traffic zone...and this afternoon...I had an opportunity to get out for lunch...and this was my mission more than my lunch :D

"Everything on the earth has a purpose, every disease an herb to cure it, and every person a mission"

I love the yellow sheet thats laid on the green layers of the ground...nature is so loving..sometimes...even we forget to notice !!!

“Keep your love of nature, for that is the true way to understand art more and more.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“Let a man avoid evil deeds as a man who loves life avoids poison”

I have read many books on World War I & II and the movies with the brutal murder of Jews. I have read how Germany lost to Russia too but always wanted to see how it feels when a person who made people to treat him like a god …at the time of his defeat how.. what it was all about…? It was a question to me..!

“The public have an insatiable curiosity to know everything, except what is worth knowing” ~ Oscar Wilde

I had this surprise movie with Bruno Canz (Adolf Hitler – awesome justification to the character), Alexandra Maria Lara (as Hitler’s secretary) and so on…directed by Oliver Hirsch – biegel!
It is basically witnessing the last days of Adolf Hitler through the eyes of the secretary. It is a German movie with English sub-titles!

Noble life demands a noble architecture for noble uses of noble men. Lack of culture means what it has always meant: ignoble civilization and therefore imminent downfall ~ Frank Lloyd Wright

All I was thinking and astonished by was the ‘loyalty’ …that was shown by Adolf Hitler’s army!! Though there were who deserted him at the very moment when he might have needed there help…however the kind of influence he had made upon the German people was…something very terrifying as even young kids were ready to kill themselves just for his sake!!!

“We are all in the same boat in a stormy sea, and we owe each other a terrible loyalty.” ~ GK Chesterton

It started bothering me..how important it is to be loyal and don’t we think upon as to whom should we show our loyalty and why???

A person could be anyone but don’t we have our consciousness where we think what is right and what is wrong? Whom shall we support and whom should we help in need, even though they might think its not there fault.

“Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice.”

At the end…what I see is that Hitler…came to rule as per his desire and fulfill his dreams and he even decided the fate of the Germans where as when it was his downfall…he decided what he want to do but he let the Germans suffer…at that moment his helplessness and his frustration was let everyone die..I don’t care was the attitude!!! The below quote is something I think he used up to its fullest!!!

“An ounce of loyalty is worth a pound of cleverness.”

As per his will his body was burnt but then…was he able to eradicate the deeds that he did to the people of Germany? The brutal murder…the cruelty???

“Neither fire nor wind, birth nor death can erase our good deeds” ~ Buddha

I was just sitting there wondering. …thinking deep in my mind- I was away there in that era… no matter what…rich or poor…king or Pauper…we all die and when we die we don’t remain to speak or defend ourselves but our deeds speak for itself!!!!!

“Don't listen to their words, fix your attention on their deeds.” ~ Albert Einstein

A nice thought for my friends…live up to its fullest…try not to harm…but let everyone has the opportunity of living in peace

“The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.”

“He who is too busy doing good finds no time to be good.”

Sunday... again a long trip to Sacramento to meet my friend...it was a hillarious union after a long gap...men vs women....:) its awesome to see how the feminist part and anti-feminist part comes out...from individuals which are so natural but then there were some who were being one of those...'am the gentleman...the perrrrfect & ideal guy'!!!

“Doing nothing is better than being busy doing nothing”

Monday was a new day to me....:) with many missions in mind...to accomplish!!!!

“Enthusiasm releases the drive to carry you over obstacles and adds significance to all you do”

Thats when I read all that Keshi is asking and I thought lets jott it down ;)

“Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching.”

Have you every felt guilty...after doing something which is not ethical???
Something like that recently happened...I dont want to go to the depth of it...however I wanted to discuss about this human element...Guilt

“Guilt is perhaps the most painful companion of death.”

Sometime at work or outside work...people tend to take advantage of there position and do whatever they can.. without thinking as whether they are doing it right or wrong!

“A man without ethics is a wild beast loosed upon this world.” ~ Albert Camus

One of the incident took place at work and everyone knew.. what, that manager did was wrong and was not in ethics either. Every other staff went and questioned there manager and ultimately those managers came to question...what so ever might have happened..the person who was fired without notification is now getting 2 weeks pay without even working :)
As you sow...so you reap...!!

“Even the most rational approach to ethics is defenseless if there isn't the will to do what is right”

Sometimes intelligent and smart people also make big mistake and then they repent!!!!!
I am happy...at least the end result is happy!!!!

“Music is love in search of a word.”

Now a days its much relaxing....moments that I am passing through!!!!

Everything is kind a stopped as from work front...but am enjoying reading and listening ghazals...! Yesterday, I was watching Jagjit's Parwaaz -concert show...and I just went back to those moments where...I was actually meeting Jagjit Singh and was taking pics and chatting with him...everything seemed like live :)

“Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul”

I had a team lunch today...it was a near by Tirupati Bhavan....it was cool start of conversation and then suddenly food arrived everyone dived in to it and suddenly the manager paid the bill...all of a sudden ok guys...we have meeting lets rush :D....that was a cool lunch!!!!

“A friend is one who takes you to lunch even if you're not tax deductible”

I didnt know that am so workoholic...that the moment it slows..I get restless...I need to take a long trip to somewhere I guess...Its time to give a break and refresh memory :)
I have so many passions to do in life and am at a stage to seriously think on moving my attention from the current passion to another and make that move towards aspiring them...!!!

“You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration”

The other day I got a message from my Canadian friend...she is going on a world tour...just coz she got bored with her job....she is going around the world...and her first stop will be in Morocco .........:) ...now tell me who doesnt want to be there ...;)

“It takes a certain level of aspiration before one can take advantage of opportunities that are clearly offered.”

Yes...somethings are happening in my mind...dont know when...I might take one like this soon ;)

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

I added some awesome ghazals of Jagjit...its dedicated only to my Jagjit Singh :)
Enjoy!!!! This caravan pic is sent to me by one of my fan ;)

“Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.”

“The events of childhood do not pass, but repeat themselves like seasons of the year”

Yesterday...I had a long night...couple of friends and we were discussing some old memories...how life changed from small things ...which one never noticed but as we think back we realize the little fun thing that we used to do...which used to bring the total depth of happiness....those childhood memories where the happiness didnt cost much...:)

“When you finally go back to your old hometown, you find it wasn't the old home you missed but your childhood”

And today...everything is bought with money....and what remains is the memories..:)
Had a very short sleep and guess what..........this Dawn needs coffee...at least now...and may be a long sleep ;) later!!

“A dying man needs to die, as a sleepy man needs to sleep, and there comes a time when it is wrong, as well as useless, to resist.”

What else would be perfect for Dawn with this Dawn Style Coffee :D

“A cup of coffee commits one to forty years of friendship.” ~ Turkish Proverb

Its so true...I met two gals at work for a coffee and since then we are such good friends...that I can't describe the way they come to care for... when one is in need.

Have some coffee....:)

Draws around me
Softening a sound.
Sleepy time, and I lie,
With my love by my side,”

“Perhaps all pleasure is only relief.”

Today, was our Execute Commit and it was almost a relief...! As all the hard work was gonna be evaluated at this level to proceed with design-session. I am not interested to look futher but what I am interested is for a while I can ..not think of anything but just 'relax' :)

“I pass with relief from the tossing sea of cause and theory to the firm ground of result and fact” ~ Winston Churchil

Its a great relief when you have done everything that you could possibly do and guess what I had everyone's sign-off and constructive support and encouragement...and appreciation of my work...!!!
Gosh..who doesnt like to be loved ;)

“Under certain circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer.”

I am happy....my weekend was much relaxing too! It was raining at times and there were two rainbows that I saw...but couldnt take picture!!!!
My long drive this time included Dr Harivansh Rai Bacchan's poetry...in his own son - Amitabh Bacchan's voice!!!

“There is no feeling, except the extremes of fear and grief, that does not find relief in music.” ~ T.S.Eliot

All I could remember was my school days as...I had his poetry in school. The sweet memories and the pure Hindi speaking capability of mine...!!!!

“Travel gives a character of experience to our knowledge, and brings the figures on the tablet of memory into strong relief”

I felt am so lucky and worthy to get this opportunity to hear some great poetries from great poet's!!!
I loved this line....
Ang se ang laga le aise
aaj tu hee bol mere bhi gale se
(let our body meet in such a way that you speak through my vocals..somewhere there)
but this poetry... really was something worth listening.
In short, I had a pleasant weekend and started with a good week too!!!

“Life is not a continuum of pleasant choices, but of inevitable problems that call for strength, determination, and hard work”

“If I keep a green bough in my heart, then the singing bird will come”

Yes It's St. Patrick's Day...and I love to celebrate it!!! The first time in Canada when I saw at my work place - ppl coming and singing in the coir in the traditional outfit of Ireland ...really it gives an emotional or spiritual touch...!!!

St. Patrick's Day is an enchanted time - a day to begin transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic.

I always wear green on this day and yes I love to celebrate every festival...not the religious aspect but the celebration part ...why miss any opportunity isn't it ? :D

"The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate."

The history of St. Patrick's Day can be viewed in this video.
http://www.historychannel.com/exhibits/stpatricksday/?page=video

On this day I miss my Canadian neighbours...since I was living in the Irish community...my attachment with those people and the culture is very much close. In there memory I would like to wish you all a "Happy St. Patrick's Day"

May the road rise to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face.

And rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the hollow of His hand

“Tolerance and celebration of individual differences is the fire that fuels lasting love.”

Holi the word brings so many childhood memories in my mind...:) in books we used to have lessons why Holi is celebrated....and always in Hindu mythology..its always the win of good over the evil...and I remember how we had to mug-up all about Prahalad & Holika...as there were fill in the blanks to fill or some out of the blue moon question ...or else then write an essay :) ...boy I used to love writing essay as its again an imaginary ground thats given to you to roam around...:)

“Poetry is the history of the human heart, and it continues to record the history of human emotion, whether it's celebration or grief or whatever it may be.” ~ William Collins

Holi also reminds me of the flower 'Tesu'...it seems in olden days and I believe even now in deep northen parts of the villages do use the flower to make color and for dye purposes...but I always loved this flower for its brightness...an orangish-red!!!

“A Picture of many colors proclaims images of many Thoughts.”

My childhood holi friends were Deepu (Jitender), Meenu(Meenakshi) and Preeti was tiny little baby...but I still miss them...it was all about getting ready to play holi...and we used to have sweets and then we used to play holi..I remember Deepu's dad used to be serious and from behind from the window pane he used to throw the colored water balloons....and we all used to scream as we used to get cold...!!!

“Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions.” ~ Pablo Picasso

Today...I want to thank them...no matter which part of the world they are...but am sure they will remember those days...!!! Deepu was my chidhood friend since I Was a kid and later he joined my school and he was my classmate till we went for our graduation...:)
I know he is serving the country by being in Air Force...am proud of him where ever he is he is doing good!!!
This holi is dedicated to Deepu :) and his family.

“If I need a cause for celebration
Or a comfort I can use to ease my mind
I rely on my imagination
And I dream of an imaginary time.”

Bein in NDA (National Defense Academy), I had all the flavours of the culture and tradition and I think thats what makes all of us one...a human!!!

I feel proud when I say here to my friends...yeah ita a festival of colors ....;) as they all know about the lights (Diwali)....we know how to celebrate and enjoy ..!!!
This picture was sent to me by my blog buddy bombayite...and for the first time I am using something like this by sending him just a note ...lol Thnx buddy!!!!

“Time draweth wrinkles in a fair face, but addeth fresh colors to a fast friend, which neither heat, nor cold, nor misery, nor place, nor destiny, can alter or diminish”

I actually have a e-colaborate meeting going on...and I realized I dont have to be there...usually I do attend still just that you never know when that important point that you could miss...but today...this color of festival took away my heart from there to jott here...:)...all I could say in my heart was 'Bura na maano Holi hai' (Dont just feel bad its Holi here )

Happy Holi to all...:)

Congratulations is the civility of envy ;)

Today I had an early day and my day was so busy....didnt get a chance to do anything else other than just work :)....
I had decided to finish my task at work and not to come home with work...!!! Its always good to plan rather to incline towards workoholism :D

"If work consumes you and destroys your personal life, there could be more going on; you could be a workaholic."

In the evening I was so tired...and guess what...as soon I heard this news...I got all refreshed...just like after a shower :).....one of my first cousins who is a real hard worker since he was a child....did attempted for the CCNA exam and guess what....he got through and not only that...but he got 987 /1000!!!! Isn't that awesome!!

“Happiness is not the absence of problems but the ability to deal with them.”

I love people who earn things by struggle and not by recommendations or bribe !!!

Many Many Congratulations my dear...its your day and hence your way now on ;) ...I want you to touch the sky and rise high just like this tower...:D

“The effect of liberty to individuals is that they may do what they please: we ought to see what it will please them to do, before we risk congratulations.” ~ Edmond Burke

“The thrill is in the chase, not the quarry”

I never thought this weekend would be so thrilling...though I do know that...my next week is going to be beary beary busy :)...since I am heading with sign-offs and other formalities with my project ;)

“Happiness... it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.”

But guess what...this weekend I was at Mercedes Showroom ;) for a change bringing my dream come true....!!!

"The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle."

Yes since long time I had this craze to buy a SUV...but it never drove me till that level to be a owner...but here guess what...I have this SUV and that too a Mercedes...cool isnt it ? ....now tell me who doesn't want to own Mercedes...this sign ;)

But believe me...its a patience thats tested out there and I was being a good gal ;)I entered there in the morning around 11 and ...got out with the car ;) around 5 pm!!!!

“The only thrill worth while is the one that comes from making something out of yourself”

Am damn excited guys...I just dont have words to express...it all I could do is just share it here with my dear and near ones...

Happy Driving I guess to me ;)

“Get excited and enthusiastic about you own dream. This excitement is like a forest fire - you can smell it, taste it, and see it from a mile away.” ~ Denis Waitley

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.”

aah!! its good be back after a busy schedule..isnt it ? But hey...its not that am not busy...but I can say I could get a glance out of it..:)...!!!

“Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer.” ~ William Borroughs

Its busy but then I had my relaxation by watching movies...and believe me it was not World War movies :D....it was good to see the The Constant Gardner...Cinderella Man.(could have been one of the winners as it does shows the time once Americans went through during that depression period and it shows the family ties and the values.the fight for food etc...seems like now American's have forgotten about that...just coz of all the power..)..and later to see the oscar awards...cool it was worth of them :) and guess what George Clooney got it as well....aah I like him so much :)!!!

“The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us.”

So it was all fun and fun...but then a discussion came upon with my friends as we were disucssing the movie...the children of S. Africa and a thought came out from me ...adoption !!!

"Adoption is when a child grew in its mommy's heart instead of her tummy"

Yes...is it good to adopt or to have your own kids??? What is it that one looses if we adopt? What do we gain if we have our own???

“Adoption is not about finding children for families, it's about finding families for children” ~ Joyce M Pavao

Too many debates and points to ponder with the pros n cons...!!! True its such a dilemma...cant we love someone else's kid who is just left out by someone to face the world without any love or guidance...!

“It is better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness.”

What happens if we just share our love and what ever we have to provide ...just give to a child...who is already born ...without any one's consent and is already suffering...isnt it a noble way to share your things with them and give them a better future and make this earth a beautiful place!!! And for this some called me I am in a good company such as Mother Teresa & Bishop Desmond Tutu....calling me humanitarian!!!!

“We are afraid to care too much, for fear that the other person does not care at all.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

But with all the good things that we can provide...why cant one can have there own children...leave a mark in the world...who will be there even if you have gone from this universe...gosh!!!! who to give more points...in every aspect injustice is bound to happen whether its adoption or giving birth to own child!
I would like to know what my friends feel about these...am sure I can get some pros n cons too ;)

“Every great movement must experience three stages: ridicule, discussion, adoption” ~ John Mill

Add your thoughts...it improves everyone to wear a thinking cap on ;)

“Too many children in foster care are falling through cracks. . . . Be a hero -- take the time learn about adoption today.” ~ Bruce Willis ;)

“This day and your life ... are God's gift to you , so give thanks and be joyful always!”

Today, I want to dedicate this post to all....my readers and my friends...in all parts and in all forms and shapes...which means...virtual friends ....too :)

“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”

I dont think my words would to enough justice to the gratitude that I want to pay...and hence I am taking help of this poetry by a great poet...Rabindranath Tagore :)...a man whose face itself shows how peaceful and calm temperament personality he was.....and whatever he had his avenge and agression...it was all in his writings....which did create a revolution in everyone's mind and still creating ....:)
I am sure you will enjoy reading :)
