Happy Father's Day...!

A dad is the first guy in the life of any girl. The more he loves and teaches her to be independent, the more she loves him.
I grew up in such a way that I always felt I am the lucky child on earth and I am sure every girl friend of mine from school also must have felt the same.
My dad spoke few words but gave a deep wisdom and insight to me and probably thats the reason I always had a deeper thought about things that happen around.
One good advise that I got from my dad, which I give to my kids also and that is, to enjoy the present and live in the present. Tomorrow we are not sure of though we plan but don't spoil your present for a tomorrow which you don't know about.

This live in the moment philosophy was ingrained in me by my dad and I am so thankful to him for teaching me about the values of life.

It's my dad because of which I learned my mother tongue Malayalam, it was him due to which we used to watch Malayalam movies and poetry that he used to play so that we can listen. His story telling to us as each poetry unwinds the reality and all these made us to be close to arts and literature.

Love everyone and don't just be a spectator when injustice is happening - this has made me a human and yes, I love every living being on this earth and I am very hurt when injustice happens to me or to others - I will fight for justice and not be quiet because I care for everyone and thats what my dad taught me.

I love the guy who raised me this way with an independent thought to enjoy the moment and be the pillar for the needy.

Thank you Accha for being that light in my life and making me believe that there can be only one Dad who holds your hand and walks behind you to make sure you are safe.

Dad, you’re someone to look up to no matter how tall I’ve grown

On this day, I want to wish every father a Happy Father’s Day!

These days, due to lot of lack of time, space, work, personal issues, ego and what not…we tend to move away from the concept of unity, family and togetherness.
Everything is a race! People either live in the family saying they are there for kids sake or they get separated and come together on certain occasions only to make kids happy!
But I have only one question, ever the kids are asked what they want? Ever those kids are given the freedom as what they want to do? I am not saying giving freedom in other ways…but only to spend their time with whom they want to!
Father or mother, they have ego the moment they see their kids love the other parent than them…I say why?

There are parents who have separated and the mother will not allow the father access to meet his child, OR the family lives together yet the mother will control the kids as whom they should love more?
I am thinking where are we heading to?

I always love my dad 1% more than my mom…not because I don’t like her…I love her..she has taught me some of the things which probably I wouldn’t have ever experienced in my life time.
But my dad, I admire him so much due to all the challenges that he has taken in his life…the decisions that he has taken for his wife and kids, the social elements, the courage to stick to justice and shout against injustice and cruelty – all this make him an idol for me.

My mom often used to say – oh! you love your dad more than me! ‘
and I would say, mom! you know that I love you but Dad, is also so nice…! So many times I repeat all these elements to my mom as how he loved her, proposed her, married her and then all his deeds followed for her happiness and she will feel proud about her husband…!
That is what I miss in today’s family and relationship.
I would like to wish those father’s a very happy father’s day – who have kids yet they are not able to meet them due to legal issues or others, or who live with their kids yet they see how their kids are not able to express the love because if mom will see that she will feel bad!

It’s tough to live like that and I salute those father’s who live with that love in their heart!

Today is Father’s day and I can write a book on my father – yes, as I have learnt things in life looking at him, learning from his actions and yes I am known as ‘I am like my dad’ and I feel proud about it.

But today I am here to share something which always will remain in my heart as other things remain still in my heart about my dad :D

I remember the day I got my first copy of my book “Khawabon Ki Zameen” to edit and everyone at home was fighting to grab it and feel it :D….I could only hold to it and just run the pages ….but my dad…when he got it he just sat there with it and read till 20 pages at one sitting :D….I think I saw my fan….my inspiration there!!!!

Yes, my dad always did this and that’s why I am where I am because of him.

This morning I got this mail saying my blog has won the "Blog of the Day Award", which I would like to dedicate to my Dad :)

My Dad was strict yet not so...but his face is not less strict than a military guy :) ...Children and adults both get scarred yet he is loved for his deeds :) I remember kids used to call him Amrish Puri (villain of Indian Cinema)...!!! Though I remember his jokes which often made my mom upset but his jokes are also worth which always teach some lesson from the real life's aspect! He is my ideal...! So might be for others too!!!!
