“Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain't goin' away.”

Customer many people like to be treated as ...:).... (I wont say God as MK Gandhi quoted once)..but I would say as human...I guess we all...and that shows we all are humans and even the people other end are humans too :)

Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value ~ Albert Einstein

Last weekend ...we planned to go to Red Lobsters - ( a chain of restaurant mainly as the name goes, haslobsters and other sea food. Its one of the best and am sure people who know will always agree with me :)At least I enjoyed when I was in Toronto).

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. ~ Anne Frank

Anyway to make this story short...we waited there for 20 mints after we were made to sit and nobody bothered to even take the menu order...and it was to the limit when we called one of the server and he was still unable to decide whether to serve us or..not (a lazy attitude).

I won't complain. I just won't come back

That was the last straw on the camel's back and we left the restaurant...!!!

Being on par in terms of price and quality only gets you into the game. Service wins the game. ~ Tony Alessandra

The manager felt bad as we were leaving coz I gave him a piece of advise as not to talk about big things on hospitality and service which was right on the customer's face when you enter there..:)..we were offered free service etc... after all this but we didnt feel like giving them the opportunity to serve us even :)

A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependant on us – we are dependent on him.

But yesterday, even though being very busy from work front...finishing my last meeting at 7 pm. with the off-site guy in India...we planned to go out for valentine's dinner :)...and since everywhere it was so rush...we planned to go to this Afghani Restaurant!!! The name made me think about naan & kebabs...and I was not so happy ;) but still we went as the review was good about them.

Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs. ~William Shakespeare

Believe me...its an awesome one!!! The food was good in taste, people were so nice and respectful.....making you feel important and there hospitality was great...:)!

Good service is good business.

When I was leaving...the manager asked.."hope u enjoyed" & I said with a big smile - Yes indeed and the service was excellent...:) this not only made me happy but all the servers too.

Every great business is built on friendship. ~ JC Penney

They all waved when we were leaving...and I is something to be shared :), as now a days where businesses value the same way there are some who dont feel like doing so!! They think once reached at that appreciation level they think they can stop doing so...but they dont understand to be on that level one needs to keep on improving...'kaizen' :)

“Improvement begins with I.” ~ Arnold H Glasgow

Here I was a happy customer... :)

One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth doingis what we do for others. ~ LEWIS CAROL

I dont go for all management fundas.
make it simple.
If ur client can do things him or herself he/she will never be ur client.

Nagu: Now a days its in any industry...u name it :) even your internal customers
look for some real service and not a taken for granted attitude...:)

Hiren: am surprised you are asking for India...where long back MK Gandhi has taught us
how to treat our customers...similarly dont they say..."atithi devo bhav?"....
Specially with the economic boom India if not practising (which I dont think so), then
they soon will loose there is applicable globally I would say....why restrict
to a country or a region...:) when we customers are spread out in large numbers globally :)
