“Enjoy life. This is not a dress rehearsal.”

This weekend I went for camping! I love to camp as it reminds me my school day...where we all friends used to camp away from home! It was a concept for me like anyone does today's 'sleep-over' at a friends place :D!!!

“Camping is nature's way of promoting the motel business.”

But the fun here is you are with all the friends with whom you are in school and always want to be with them for more than school time. Those ghost stories at night and then the cold breeze making us realize its time to sleep he he he it was fun!

“The past is a ghost, the future a dream, and all we ever have is now.” ~ Bill Cosby

I was told by many of my colleagues that it's gonna be hot!! and I was kind of disappointed with the thought as my thinking was when we are in the woods its gonna be cold with some fresh air...! BTW I did organize for our project lunch @ Piatti :D...it was amazing ;)

“The thing about performance, even if it's only an illusion, is that it is a celebration of the fact that we do contain within ourselves infinite possibilities.” ~ Sydney Smith

We reached the camping place its quite a long drive from a place called Gilroy! On the way we saw some deer crossing the roads...I felt more close to the nature now :D.
The camping was at Mount Madonna Park. Guys you wont believe ...I had dressed up in shorts and a tank-top but by the time we reached thereI had to hunt for my sweater :D...it was chilly as winter!!!

“In seed time learn, in harvest teach, in winter enjoy.” ~ William Blake

I loved it and enjoyed a lot with all other friends. We all gals went for a trail walk and in the evening there was a music concert! We all went for the concert. It was quite amazing to see the group of three people all the way coming from San Jose and Walnut Creek - in California - to present there creations as a voluntary work. There were amazing country songs...they were old with grand children and they did entertained the audience very well.

Night was with BBQ and camp fire...! I miss my Scouts & Guides days...it was so much fun!It was so foggy that as it started getting deep dark the fog started melting as dew drops and started pouring..only the places where the trees were...

“It is not the clear-sighted who rule the world. Great achievements are accomplished in a blessed, warm fog.”~ Joseph Conrad

Well we were near the camp fire so these dew drops didnt affect or made us to change our mind. We sticked near the fire...started singing songs and started having a gala of time. Now even at these camps...America or even in Canada there are rules :D....one should be off to bed by 10:00 p.m. and guys we were at 11:00 saying- night is still young ;) We had our plans...as soon we see the Ranger guys truck coming we used to be in all our low voice and as soon they leave we were back live :D It was quite late when I got in to my tent...and the night was real cold with the dew drops falling as if its raining!

“Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf.” ~ Rabindranath Tagore

Morning when I opened my eyes...it just made me feel - what a life...its like a dream to be in the arms of nature and the birds with there chirping sounds telling you its time to wake up! I loved every bit of it and we all got fresh...started preparing b'fast...and by 1 we had to take out the tent!

“The really happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour.”

After the camping coming home back was kind of mixed feeling...thinking the fun is over and now get back to work :D...but at the same time when you reach home you feel...there is nothing better than home-sweet home!
I enjoyed a lot but seems the wave of cold and hot weather made me kind a sick ...with sneezing and stuffy nose:( But hey...am doing fine thats what its all about...;)

“All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on.”~ Havelock Ellis

Living without faith is like driving in the fog ;)

Your Driving Is is: 50% Male, 50% Female
According to studies, you drive both like a guy and a girl. This means you're a pretty average driver, with typical quirks.Occasionally you're frustrated and or a little reckless, but that's the exception - not the norm.

A thing of beauty is a joy forever

“One cool judgment is worth a thousand hasty counsels. The thing to do is to supply light and not heat.”

The weather out here was lately very hot ..so hot that many people died of heat. There are no Air Conditions or even fans in people's home. It seems they dont need it at all..C'mon these things should be basic I suppose! On top of that the right timing for electricity to go off ...lol! What a bizareWell, yesterday the weather got a bit cooler...and guess what today I had to wear a full sleeves sweaterto work ...lol! What a change!!!

“One cool judgment is worth a thousand hasty counsels. The thing to do is to supply light and not heat.”

Morning I met my friend Samira, she is a very lively, vibrant and friendly gal..always up for troublebut we are good friends..;) and I was zapped when she also agreed that how strange people die to come to US just to die:DThe country where you dont have a/c n fan to rescue from heat and when you talk to people out side US, they laugh as they say C'mon, you are lying...after all you are in US :D

“America wasn't founded so that we could all be better. America was founded so we could all be anything we damned well pleased.”

I wonder sometimes do they really know what they are talking about? The grass is always green across the river..

But this morning was very auspicious - I got an sms from my Jaan saying she has become an aunt :D...boy the reaction was as if I had something ;) Yes Gumnaaaam many congtratulations to you and your sister ...

... joy and sorrow are inseparable. . . together they come and when one sits alone with you . . . remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

Am sure mom - n daughter both are in pink of there health ;) now you just save your breath on that one..as you have more responsibilities ;)

“A project is complete when it starts working for you, rather than you working for it.”

It was much waiting....long one...! I have heard women who have almost completed there 8 months pregnancy...even they get bored of carrying the load and want to deliver the baby immediately!!!

“A project is complete when it starts working for you, rather than you working for it.” ~ Napoleon Hill

But look at my situation....if everything is working as per the plan then there will be bugs in the system and if system is working then for some reason business want to play there tactics and will play games in givingyou sign-off....oh Gosh! when this cat and mouse game will be over...thats what I was thinking all these days!!!

“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” ~ Albert Einstein

Finally, the D-day came...I tried my best to deliver to the team who were working after hours for deployment..as I knowwhen a project fails its all PM's fault and when its a success its a team effort :)
So friends, my much awaited delivery was completed on Friday July 21st. I think it was 11.49 when I sent the emails to all saying successful delivery of the project :D

“Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.” ~ Bible

Thank God, it was not 12:00 mid-night :D to say its delayed hehehe!!!
I am much happy that this project is completed. It was just like I was 9 months up and still no sign of delivery or what they calllabor pain hahaha!

Its a great relief and I must say...we all have that limit of patience where we are working towards a date and then those postpones and delayshappen and we get a bit low on morale but still we strive to deliver with the same spirit as we get another date and so on...

“Sorrow comes to all...Perfect relief is not possible, except with time. You cannot now realize that you will ever feel better and yet you are sure to be happy again.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

I feel so peace!!! BTW July 21st was International Peace Day :D

“With every project you do, you bring out a part of yourself, and it seems to be quite a good way of expanding a person.”

“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.”

"Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear to negotiate." ~ John F Kennedy
As an HR person (once upon a time), I did participated in negotiations and I was always at the management side but always came out as a winner. Many said its my people's skill ...what so ever it is but I can say that a lot of brushing did take place while I was negotiating while hiring or firing...!
“Influence may be the highest level of human skills”
This time being a Consultant in project management, it was negotiation between me and the company...! Yes, the company wanted to give me an offer, however as you know we didnegotiated! One thing I thank for my previous HR role and my Masters degree which always helped me to negotiate also I can say...the game Cricket ;) ! Yes guys, I had done some homework before attending this HR guy and hence the first googly was that I made him misunderstand me and so I was successful.

"Negotiating in the classic diplomatic sense assumes parties more anxious to agree than to disagree"

He thought I am looking more for $$$ and hence he offered me a handsome amount with benefit package, however position wise he played a little game ;)
But now for me it wasnt the money ..:D its the position and that too my hard work and years of experience that make me qualify for that senior level position...I did mention about my interest...but I was thrown to my manager to discuss.

"Grant graciously what you cannot refuse safely and conciliate those you cannot conquer"

My manager, didnt had any logical reason to give and all she said is there are people in her team who have been sitting in one position for past 5 years...lol!Gosh! this made me determined about my decision and I called HR and said if you give me that senior level then am fine to accept the offer or else......am happy even today :)
I guess that ultimatum did work for me...or should I believe in what I got from the fortune cookie...
"Your determination will bring much more success to you" :D

I feel good to see that now I am a good negotiator for myself too ;)

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched ... but are felt in the heart

Finally, I can say now am actually connected :D...

“a good friend is a connection to life- a tie to the past,a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane world” ~ Lois Wyse
Yes guys I thought a lot and settled for a LCD 19" TV Monitor..;) lot of enhancement from what I had in my laptop :D...am not describing much as the name itself will speak all about it ;)
But then, now I know my data will be more secured as compared to what it was in my laptop!

"They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security" ~ Benjamin Franklin

But to tell you the truth...I still miss my laptop!

"Love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you're close in heart". ~ Kay Knudsen

For this new one... am excited about it however at the same time I am trying to be friendly with it ;) It gives me a relief that now I can be in touch with my friends, but at the same time I need to update all those data which I had taken once upon a time as a back-up...Thank Goodness for my thoughtful brain ;)

"But reason has no power against feeling, and feeling older than history is no light matter". ~ Charlotte Perkins Gilman

I dont know if this is my excitement or confusion that I am not able to blog anything today...however, I do want to post and let my friends convey that I am back in action..:)
Thanks for remembering me and keeping me in your mind and heart...what else one would want from God?

"For each new morning with its light,

For rest and shelter of the night,

For health and food, for love and friends,

For everything Thy goodness sends." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

When people are laughing, they're generally not killing each other

Its been long …I feel since I lost the data with my laptop and then work was keeping me busy…didn’t realize when Friday came and I was still at work.
Usually, on Friday’s the office is empty by the time its 4.30 p.m. but my meeting went on with the technical doc review for production!!!

“Beware the barrenness of a busy life.” ~ Socrates

I had gone out for lunch with some friends at work and usually we all have fun but then when you come back to work you have to do the deliverables isn’t it :D….yeah after a good lunch if you have a meeting then can you imagine how it would be :D…! Any way I didn’t realize when the clock was ticking 6:00 p.m. and I rushed to close the pc and got into my car and disappeared...just like that ;)!

“When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.” ~ Mark Twain

When I reached home…we were making plans as what to do…and it was a sudden plan to go for a movie and since there are so many which I didn’t see from Hindi…I was not able to make any decision but I do like Ajay Devgan from Bollywood and so decided to watch this movie ‘Golmaal’ yes there was one old movie which was no doubt still watched with the same passion by people and do remember the comedy!

“The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.” ~ Mark Twain

Friends let me tell you this movie is so hilarious that I don’t remember when was the last time that I laughed out so loudly non-stop and struggling for my breath..!
It was really hilarious comedy..a comedy which is not deliberately made to laugh but innocent and very natural!
“A laugh is a smile that bursts.” ~ Mary H Waldrip

Do watch if you get a chance….and guess what its my Friend Neeraj Vora who is the dialogue write ;) …I know he is going to be the comedy king of bollywood :D
Kudos to all related to the movie …

Dream big,
Reach for the stars!”

“To win you've got to stay in the game.” ~ I miei complimenti

Nice Sunday morning, I was all set to watch this game as to know who the real champions... are :)Yes, it was for long France who I felt was dominating and then such a swift...! Am sure lot of people’s anxiety must be high when for a long they were one each and both were strong in defending themselves.

“It's why we play the game. Anything is possible, anything can happen, and we proved that again tonight.”

The first goal that was made by Zidane …I like fall in love with this player…through out I was cheering by calling his name...thank god…my neighboring apt is still empty ;)!
I fully enjoyed the game just like I was in there sitting in the stadium.

“A particular shot or way of moving the ball can be a player's personal signature, but efficiency of performance is what wins the game for the team.”

Lot of team player behavior exhibited by the players and when you become a senior player, expectation rises from others. Same thing happened I guess, though Zidane is retiring but I didn’t want him to go like this…!

"You never get a second chance to make a good first impression."
He has some good things to add in as what he has exhibited from past and history had some significance but am not sure with what he did in today’s match…will anyone forgive for him loosing for emotions!

“Individuals play the game, but teams win championships.”

Finally, I would like to Congratulate Italy for becoming the world champs: D…today I miss all my Italian friends who are in Toronto…guys I love you all and do include me when you are celebrating for winning that cup ;)

"You win some, you lose some, but you always try again."

In all the referee did an awesome job…I think that’s the toughest job on the ground with the players, audience cheering for there own teams and the media …you still have to be focused and not get distracted to give any wrong decisions or mess any players career!!!!

“You must get involved to have an impact. No one is impressed with the won-lost record of the referee.” ~ Napoleon Hill

Neverlasting FireWorks-

Little firework, shineing bright
symbol of a 4th July night,
Crackeling, booming, whistleing,
Exploding, going up towards the sky,
Lighting up with one small flame,
Going up because its just a game,
Lighting up the darkened night,
But try and try as you might,
You will not last long tonight,
All is awed bye your everchanging colors
But time is running out
You grow brighter, taller louder & wider,
For your last few minutes of fame,
But you must keep tame,
You vanish because you are the never lasting firework!!! ~ Sad_yet_evil_kitty
Happy Independence Day To All The Nations :D around the globe.

It is wise to apply the oil of refined politeness to the mechanisms of friendship.

I had mentioned about this guy in one of my post where I had taught him about cleaning one’s own mess: D…! Remember!?! Yes, it’s the same guy about whom I am going to talk today!

One's first step in wisdome is to question everything - and one's last is to come to terms with everything. ~ George Christoph Lichtenberg

We have become good friends by now since he became my coffee buddy! We always wait for each other to start the morning coffee and then little bit of chat and then we resume to our work.

It seems like he need a friend in this place and he found one in me. I am glad that he can openly share certain things that he may or may not share with others. It’s a matter of trust, more than whether he can share with anyone else.

Without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods.~ Aristotle
Lately, he been talking and discussing about a lot regarding some products such as some juice and also he shared one of the cd’s with me! Its all about the QuickStar business.
I think from what I remember it was initially Amway and then Networking and so on!

Friendship makes prosperity more shining and lessens adversity by dividing and sharing it.~ Cicero

I got that he has been caught into this and guess what he is now trying to sell me on this: D!

To succeed as a team is to hold all of the members accountable for their expertise.~ Mitchell Caplan

The day he mentioned the name – QuickStar, I just told him the basic impression of this kind of set-up and the network of people. As I have been approached many times people @ Wall Mart, Fry’s and the way they approach people is unprofessional and more or less it’s like a bait to fish. He seems to be all sold on to it and you know all I could say is there are different people and different perspective. How you use it to benefit to yourself is something individual grasp. So if you make it you are the winner and if you are mere being used by someone else to climb the ladder then that’s your choice.
