A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor's book

Today, I feel like this picture and just look at it…wont you also feel like sleeping so cozy :D

After the rain has stopped and the bright sunshine right there to shine to dry up all the water and give you the warmth by taking us in its arms with a silent lullaby played somewhere far and as you dose off, the cunning dreams comes to you to take you far away from this world yet keeps you attached to your world with pleasant dreams, when you get a knock at the door and you say ~ Gosh! Its noon already hahaha

“The repose of sleep refreshes only the body. It rarely sets the soul at rest. The repose of the night does not belong to us. It is not the possession of our being. Sleep opens within us an inn for phantoms. In the morning we must sweep out the shadows.” ~Gaston Bachelard

Yup anything that is too much is not good and I guess my sleep and dreaming amusement has taken to that level where I don’t feel like reading my book! Can you imagine? I am a person once taken a book in hand I don’t keep it down until I have completed reading it till the last page and then I sit back and give a thought about the author and his expression in his story :D

Reading is a means of thinking with another person's mind; it forces you to stretch your own.”

I don’t even feel like watching TV oh! Tell me how much I hate watching these shows where they make fun of others or fool others with a hidden camera and then place it as there talk-show and make it funny!

“If you read a lot of books you are considered well read. But if you watch a lot of TV, you're not considered well viewed.”

Songs – wow!!!!! How can I miss that :D….I love to listen to music and am dying to listen but am controlling as I know I will dose off again …oops!!!

“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”

So what…after lot of thinking and consideration, I came to the conclusion of cleaning :D….something that I love and don’t hesitate to donate my life for it :D

“Better keep yourself clean and bright. You are the window through which you must see the world.” ~ George Bernard Shaw

I was cleaning with fear as my friend will get mad at me for doing it, for my friend wants me to just chill and relax like the picture … lol!

“A relationship is like a rose, How long it lasts, no one knows. Love can erase an awful past, love can be yours, you'll see at last. To feel that love, it makes you sigh, To have it leave, you'd rather die. You hope you've found that special rose, 'cause you love and care for the one you chose.” ~ Rob Cella

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”

Its pouring outside like anything…I always used to think in this part of the world rains are never so…as it used to be when I was a kid :D
Now when I think of the kids I tell myself they have not seen anything and yes my childhood was much better than what today these kids have! Won’t you all agree with me?

“If love is shelter, I'm going to walk in the rain.”

There was no restrictions, we could go out and play in the front/backyard, make some paper boats and make them floating in the river which is created all over with this heavy rains.
Once the rain was over….sun used to peep up and everyone used to come out on the ground and we used to make castle with the mud just like how we make on the beaches!
"Tell me how many beads there areIn a silver chainOf evening rain,Unravelled from the tumbling main..."~Thomas Lovell Beddoes
Life was so cool…I miss my childhood so badly! And feel sorry for today’s kids as they really don’t know what is to have fun other than going on a ride, or mom-dad taking you for soccer or even sleep-over :D
" Bad weather always looks worse through a window."

I believe what it says below ;)
“The things which the child loves remain in the domain of the heart until old age. The most beautiful thing in life is that our souls remaining over the places where we once enjoyed ourselves”~ Kahlil Gibran

Life is just a chance to grow a soul

Talking about life and happiness in my last post…I recently had a chance to watch ‘Zindagii (Life) Rocks’! The title itself motivated me to watch as it seems full of positive ness and indeed the concept is rocking!

“Expect nothing, live frugally on surprise” ~ Alice Walker

The actors, I like Sushmita Sen and Shiney Ahuja – even though they are not like the current super stars but they do have some potential however in this movie Sushmita disappointed me :P ! Somehow I was telling myself that she is doing over acting!!!

“Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death" ~ Anais Nin

The story is about love and the love between a mother and her adopted kid and also love between a man and woman in a relationship!! Good modern concept and I found funny and comedy when I saw Seema Biswas who is a cop and she cries on the story…somehow it didn’t go well :D ! However Shiney Ahuja I still think has potential and has been impressive in this.

“Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” ~ Albert Einstein

Sorry to say neither Maushmi Chatterjee the olden times heroine had anything better to add…all I can say the concept of the movie which the director Tanuja Chandra wanted to bring was awesome and the songs too…!

I will say that I stopped this movie at one point and then next day I just wanted to complete it and the only motivation was – Music :D

“You don't get to choose how you're going to die. Or when. You can only decide how you're going to live. Now”

Yes, friends if you understand Hindi then I must say that listen to it the lyricists are Muddassar Aziz and Sayeed Qadri with Anu Malik’s music direction and excellent voice of Sunidhi Chauhan and all new male singers!!!

Try out as life really rocks ;)

“Let us so live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry” ~ Mark Twain

We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same

Sitting home alone was quite boredom for her. Though, it was not that she was sick or so…she was on the verge of expecting and her hubby wanted her to take rest as he know his wife so well who doesn’t sit a minute idle!!!
Her days were going from listening to music, to reading books, to watching TV and then finally she gave up and boredom took her to sleeping!

“When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.”~ Dalai Lama

It was then her hubby got her some movies to watch which he thought she may like them…!

I have seen people suggesting movies or books and it’s not necessary that what they like you should also like…no matter who suggest! But in her case, it was as if he knows her so well that as she was watching this movie …she kept on thanking her hubby and at the same time…her heart was filling with love for him as how much he cares for her that he spent time to bring movies for her even though he is so busy!

“Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to yourself and others.”~ Buddha

Her kind of thoughts took me somewhere far as frankly speaking how much one needs to be happy in life?? Probably what the wife felt cannot be bought by money and may be hubby never thought what he is doing would bring this feeling in his wife’s heart!

Then I thought…did the hubby really thought of this entire in mind and then brought the movies or is it that he liked them so he wanted his wife to see them?

“Unhappiness is best defined as the difference between our talents and our expectations.”~ Edward De Bono

What could be the truth? I scratched my head on and on but all I could end up with was …who cares as long as wife had a good time watching them :D
Sometimes, its very difficult to make out what could make one happy in life!!!
Did you ever thought where your happiness lies?

“You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”~ Albert Camus

How on earth are you ever going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love?

It was love which brought them together and yet he has this habit of asking ~ ‘Do you love me’? and each time she looks at him from the corner of her eyes and blushes away!

I guess, sometimes these Valentine’s Day are much useful at such occasions though she loves him immensely but somehow she is shy, but then I guess the love is always expressed in gestures and one should make out that isn’t it ? :)

“The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.” ~ Allan K Chalmers

Yet the guy always complains to her then when she heard from her kid ~ ‘Do you love me’? And she got so mad that how a mother can not love her kid? Which mother in the world will say she doesn’t love her kid and so she started questioning back to the kid that’s when the kid said innocently – ‘I find great happiness when I hear that from your mouth that you love me’! Only a drop of tear came out of her eyes!

“I am like a falling star who has finally found her place next to another in a lovely constellation, where we will sparkle in the heavens forever.” ~ Amy Tan

Was it the tear of sadness or the love? A mother can only love isn’t it?
The mother took her kid in her arms and hugged her saying ‘I love you and I will always love you since you are my life, without you our world is nothing’.

The kid could feel the love of her mother. That day she decided she will express her love to her husband as, a small kid has taught her how it is necessary to express the love verbally even though we all know love exists in our world!

“If you have love in your life it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don't have it, no matter what else there is, it's not enough.” ~ Ann Landers

Evening when he came, first thing she could do was run to him and hug him and with all her tears in eyes yet holding tight but not really saying a word. He felt her emotion and the feeling in the grip of her hug, he couldn’t figure out what really happened and so he started asking questions – what happened? Are you alright? Tell me – and she said-

‘Dear, I love you and I want to tell you this today and always that without you I am incomplete’ :)

“To the world you may be one person,
but to one person you may be the world” ~ Bill Wilson

He just couldn’t let her talk after that! Love has real power isn’t it?

Happy Valentine’s Day to All my near and dear ones! Don’t forget to express ;) even if you can’t give a gift :D

“A bell is not a bell
until someone rings it,
a song is not a song
until someone sings it.

Love wasn't put
in the heart to stay,
for love isn't love
'til you give it away.” ~ Chanh Kha

The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keeps out the joy.

Even though I know few languages from India, I never really explored that part of myself. In fact I always used to feel that this will help me when I visit to certain places and language wouldn’t be a problem :D

“Language is the blood of the soul into which thoughts run and out of which they grow”. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes

But recently, not only other foreign language movies but also I am watching Tamil movies too ;) and friends let me tell you …there are some real hot hunks out there too :D!

Well, what I want to talk about is this one ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ ( A Peck On The Cheek), a Mani Ratnam’s film with A.R. Rehman's music. When I saw Mani Ratnam's name I said I have to watch this one, as I am a great fan of his work.

This story is about an adopted gal who is actually a child of Sri Lankan mother and during the civil war she comes to India as a refugee and delivers the kid and goes back leaving the kid in the orphanage. This kid is later adopted by Indian couple and they really take care of her but as there duty they also tell her the truth on her 9th b’day. The gal is now trying to find her roots and want to know why and what happened that she was left like this by her own mother.

“The finest emotion of which we are capable is the mystic emotion.” ~Albert Einstein

A very touching movie – thank god for the English subtitles:D…but in this movie other than the emotions of the kid, the adopted parents and there struggle to take her all the way to Sri Lanka to find the child’s mother and the emotions of kid and the real mother – in all these I got a chance to sneak through the beauty of Sri Lanka. WOW! That’s what it came to my mind and believe me dear Keshi…you were there through out in my mind as I was watching this movie only because you are the only gal whom I know so closely….am not sure if you ever been to as I never read the beauty of that place in your blog !

I am just in love with that place and some how in my mind I have the desire to go to that place one day.

“Beauty is unbearable, drives us to despair, offering us for a minute the glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch out over the whole of time.” ~ Albert Camus

When I saw how the missiles are thrown out any time any moment of the day…its scary! I wonder how people are leaving there but of all this I hear everyone has one thing common – ‘One day there will be peace’, when no one knows about it but they all are fighting for that unknown, not yet visible light in the darkest tunnel!

“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the World, We must become the change we wish to see in the world...” ~ MK Gandhi

For a moment I was not able to make any difference between LTTE and Al-Qaida as they all are fighting and taking revenge and in this entire innocent people – the casualties are the ones who are sacrificing there lives!

"As for future, your task is not to foresee it, but to enable it." ~ Antoine de Saint

When will this end? One of the Sri Lankan Dr says it will end when the developed nations stop making artilleries, bombs and the under developed countries throws all these weapons in the sea… :D what a simple solution and look people are still finding reason for peace!

“Every inside has an outside. Every outside has an inside and the two always go together”

I have been watching movies, the one which they shot after Saddam’s fall the first movie they shot in Iraq, then Kabul Express in Afghanistan and now this…all one common thing…I see kids suffering, without one leg or hand… if they themselves need a support of a stick to walk at this age how they can take care of there country, how they will support and what is the conclusion of all this…because every present generation has this hope to see peace with the coming generation!

“Words signify man's refusal to accept the world as it is.” ~Walter Kaufmann

What is the base? What are we creating to secure a peaceful nation or mankind in the coming generation? A very big question already in small kids mind going through…but then when these kids will grow …probably they will mature with the thoughts of the previous generation and guess what…life goes on!

"When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened." ~ John M. Richardson

Life on the planet is born of woman

Lately, I am reading a lot and watching many things! As time gets lot of things I am exploring as well!
I wonder sometimes, no matter what era we talk and discuss, but is there anything that has changed for a woman today?

I doubt! As I read things and watch things it makes me feel the time and situation might have changed but the status remains the same!

"Woman is the companion of man, gifted with equal mental capacity" ~ MK Gandhi

A woman all her life gives and lives for others but does she ever live for herself? Lately, I read some articles in which some women were coming out of there closet and telling openly that they are lesbians and they justify for being so! They feel only a woman can understand a woman’s problem! How true is that?
Its sad that woman has to come out like this!

"Sometimes I wonder if men and women really suit each other. Perhaps they should live next door and just visit now and then" ~ Katherine Hepburn

I saw the oscar nominated ‘Water’ movie and its so sad that people modify certain rules and regulations where ever it benefits them, irrespective of the person’s will! Another one in which they showed how life would be if there is scarcity of women as they kill girl infants and still when they find one girl in the whole village how men just ruin her for there physical needs! It's alas!!

"Nature has given women so much power that the law has very wisely given them little." ~Samuel Johnson

I remember as a kid I had this last minute extempore speech competition where they give you the topic 5 minutes before you go on the stage and the topic was ‘Women’s status in today’s era” and believe me guys I rocked that competition that day and won the first prize too!
But whatever I said about the future of women in that….I feels sorry that is not the case today!

No matter what even for other’s sake woman is always sacrificing, adjusting and keeping quite with the hope that things will change!

I personally feel that woman is always giving then why not she is ever understood properly?

"The history of all times, and of today especially, teaches that ... women will be forgotten if they forget to think about themselves" ~ Louise Otto

We are all different. Don’t judge, understand instead!!!
