One father is more than a hundred Schoolemasters

Yes, that what I personally feel with the title of my post today!
I have gone to school and got till my masters and even learning today from day to day life, work experience, courses to upgrade…but all had the base which my Dad taught me as a child while I was growing with him.

“He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.”

I remember when I was a kid, my dad always used to drop me to school and while returning back I used to walk back to home with one of my neighbor who was probably a year or two older to me…!

“Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character”
My direction was always poor so…one day we had a new gal in the class and somehow teacher made her to sit next to me. We became such a good friend the first day itself that when the school got over we both were holding each other’s hand and were walking home. I didn’t realize until she took me to her house and I was all zapped saying..no I have to go to my home..! I was totally lost and I started crying. This was when I was in Jr. Kinder.

“If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.”

Luckily in those days one of the lady who used to come to everyone’s home for census to collect information and she saw me on the road crying! She quite a senior lady that time, asked me what happened? Why am I crying? I told her the entire story and she said don’t worry; we will do something to be in touch with your dad.

“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” ~ Jimmy Dean
She took me to my friend’s home- the same gal and her father was a military guy he took me to the Security Authorities in NDA. Guess what the officer was my dad’s friend :D
He very nicely pacified me and asked me my Dad’s name and when he heard…he simply called my dad and said…when are you coming to pick your daughter, since when you said you are coming and she is waiting here for you eagerly..:D

“I am not only a pacifist but a militant pacifist. I am willing to fight for peace. Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war.” ~ Albert Einstein

I was so happy that my dad already knew where I am! In no time he was there to pick me and the hug that I got from him, could make me feel what went through his mind since he heard from my granny that I didn’t reach home from school and the neighbor guy said – I searched for her till the school got empty and then I walked to home! My dad always used to come home for lunch and I used to eat my lunch with my dad. My granny was living with us in those days…!

“A father is always making his baby into a little woman. And when she is a woman he turns her back again.” ~Enid Bagnold

All, I remember is my father still loves me the same as I was a kid….:D !!
I agree, my mother after bearing me for 9 months in her womb, she gave birth to me but since then my Dad, nourished me with his enormous love and affection till date…isn’t that something great…? I think so it is!

“Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.”

Father! - to God himself we cannot give a holier name. ~William Wordsworth

BEAUTIFUL post .. and gorgeous pictures!! You are right ... dads are special - but there is no bond like the one of a mom to her child!
"If you won't change direction, you might end up where you're heading"! How true, I like that a LOT!!
