Life on the planet is born of woman

Lately, I am reading a lot and watching many things! As time gets lot of things I am exploring as well!
I wonder sometimes, no matter what era we talk and discuss, but is there anything that has changed for a woman today?

I doubt! As I read things and watch things it makes me feel the time and situation might have changed but the status remains the same!

"Woman is the companion of man, gifted with equal mental capacity" ~ MK Gandhi

A woman all her life gives and lives for others but does she ever live for herself? Lately, I read some articles in which some women were coming out of there closet and telling openly that they are lesbians and they justify for being so! They feel only a woman can understand a woman’s problem! How true is that?
Its sad that woman has to come out like this!

"Sometimes I wonder if men and women really suit each other. Perhaps they should live next door and just visit now and then" ~ Katherine Hepburn

I saw the oscar nominated ‘Water’ movie and its so sad that people modify certain rules and regulations where ever it benefits them, irrespective of the person’s will! Another one in which they showed how life would be if there is scarcity of women as they kill girl infants and still when they find one girl in the whole village how men just ruin her for there physical needs! It's alas!!

"Nature has given women so much power that the law has very wisely given them little." ~Samuel Johnson

I remember as a kid I had this last minute extempore speech competition where they give you the topic 5 minutes before you go on the stage and the topic was ‘Women’s status in today’s era” and believe me guys I rocked that competition that day and won the first prize too!
But whatever I said about the future of women in that….I feels sorry that is not the case today!

No matter what even for other’s sake woman is always sacrificing, adjusting and keeping quite with the hope that things will change!

I personally feel that woman is always giving then why not she is ever understood properly?

"The history of all times, and of today especially, teaches that ... women will be forgotten if they forget to think about themselves" ~ Louise Otto

A very interesting and thought provoking post.I think women have to believe in themselves and like the quote said understand ourselves in order to be understood.I think we still have a long way to go. I also read that there is a gender imbalance due to killing of girl babies.that is really sad.don't know what is going to happen to this world in the future.

I saw that movie in Iffk 2005.It is a very boring stuff.Acting of John Abhraham is intolerable.

You've raised a very thoughtful point.
All i can say is that maybe people still need enlightenment.

Saw the movie few months back and it's still not out of my mind.

Hi Dawn!
Women's status in today's era is very different in all the world.
I like this sentence from Proverbs:
"Who can find a noble woman? She is worth far more than rubies."
Have a great weekend!

u r right a far way to go..a major share of atrocities on women are by women themselves. If they start respecting their own clan half the battle will be won.

thats such a great post Dawny! Yes women r always bearing things inside and not getting much in return. But thats what women are and thats why we are special. I see women as extra emotional creatures that r capable of handling alot of pressure. Thats the beauty of women!

Keshi.

I agree with you:) We women can take a lot of pressure, guess thats why we automatically end up choosing to..what would happen if all the men took it on and died of heart attacks? being extreme here..but its quite possible..most of them were never made to handle emotional pressure or they prefer not to learn.
